The system should be able to remind you about your important tasks and not miss out on a deadline. You should be able to see all your tasks in one place. The system should be able to collaborate with other people involved in the project and also on specific tasks.

What are the best practices when it comes to CRM Task Management?

The first thing that you need is a reminder system. Your reminder system must give alarms or notifications according to deadlines set by yourself or by another user from your team who is responsible for certain tasks. Also, reminders must include things like appointments so your client would not forget about his/her appointment with her/him. 

Another thing that must be included in the application is collaboration. Collaboration between users from your team so they could share information about their specific tasks. There must be an option for comments on every task too but according to my experience that’s not always necessary because comments could slow down the entire process but sometimes they could be very useful so it depends on individual cases. 

Another thing that must be included in the application is an option to create sub-tasks. Sometimes it happens that you have to divide a huge task into smaller ones so you can manage them better. Also, sub-tasks are very helpful if the whole task is divided between people from your team. There must be an option to add a due date and time because if you don’t specify when you have to perform a certain task, it may not be done on time, and sometimes we need something very quickly so we should be able to set a deadline for every task. It would be also very useful if there was an option to add notes but that’s not always necessary. There must be an option for recurring tasks.


CRM Task Management is a very important part of CRM. If you want to make your CRM system usable and efficient you should include it in your application. It is not something that you can build on your own because it requires too much time and experience.
